Prerequisites for Enrolling in the Ijazah Course
Basic Arabic Reading Proficiency

Commitment and Discipline

Ijazah Course Levels & Hours Breakdown
Our Ijazah program is divided into 3 main levels to accommodate students at different stages of their Qur’anic journey. The duration may vary depending on the student’s pace and commitment.
Level 1: Tajweed Mastery & Correction
Goal: Master all Tajweed rules and apply them correctly during recitation.
Who it’s for: Students who can read Qur’an but need to refine pronunciation and rules.
Focus:
Full study of Tajweed rules (Makharij, Sifaat, Rules of Noon, Meem, Madd, etc.)
Practical recitation with correction
Hours: 30–40 hours
Duration: 2–3 months (2 sessions/week, 1 hour each)
Outcome: Eligible to proceed to Ijazah recitation training
Level 2: Ijazah in Recitation (Riwayah of Hafs)
Goal: Read the full Qur’an with precision from beginning to end under the supervision of a certified Sheikh.
Who it’s for: Students who mastered Tajweed and seek Ijazah in reading.
Focus:
Recite the full Qur’an from memory or Mushaf
Spot and correct any errors in Tajweed or fluency
Understanding the concept of Sanad (chain of narration)
Hours: 60–100+ hours
Duration: 4–8 months depending on recitation speed (2–3 sessions/week)
Outcome: Receive Ijazah Certificate in Recitation with a connected Sanad to the Prophet ﷺ
Level 3: Ijazah in Hifz (Memorization)
Goal: Obtain an Ijazah in Qur’an memorization (full Hifz).
Who it’s for: Students who have memorized the Qur’an and want formal certification.
Focus:
Recite the entire Qur’an from memory
Correct mistakes in memorization and fluency
Strengthen weak areas (Muraja’ah)
Hours: 100–150+ hours
Duration: 6–12 months depending on revision and readiness
Outcome: Receive Ijazah Certificate in Hifz with authority to teach others
